Shipping Policy – Traphouse Nursery

Thank you for choosing Traphouse Nursery. We take great care in packaging every live plant so it has the best possible chance of arriving safely and in good condition.

Shipping Area

We currently ship live plants within the United States only. At this time, we do not ship to California, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international addresses unless approved before purchase.

Some states, counties, or local jurisdictions may have additional agricultural restrictions, quarantine rules, pest regulations, or species-specific requirements. Because live plants are agricultural products, orders may be canceled and refunded if the destination is restricted, if required documentation is unavailable, if weather makes shipment unsafe, or if shipment would violate any applicable law or regulation.

Nursery & Agricultural Compliance

Traphouse Nursery is a Florida-registered nursery and ships live plants in accordance with applicable FDACS, USDA, APHIS, and Imported Fire Ant compliance requirements.

When required, eligible nursery stock is shipped under the applicable inspection, certification, compliance agreement, nursery documentation, or other agricultural compliance documentation available to Traphouse Nursery.

Buyer is responsible for ensuring the plant ordered is legal to receive, possess, and grow in their state or locality.

Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–7 business days after payment is received.

Shipping may be delayed during extreme heat, cold, storms, holidays, carrier disruptions, or other conditions that could affect plant health during transit.

Packaging

All plants are carefully packaged using methods designed to reduce stress and damage during shipping.

Live plants are natural, perishable agricultural products. Minor cosmetic imperfections, soil displacement, bent leaves, yellowing, broken small leaves, or temporary shipping stress may occur and are considered normal.

Arrival Condition Review

Traphouse Nursery does not offer a broad live arrival guarantee. Many of our plants are rare, limited, or one-of-a-kind, and exact replacements may not be available.

That said, we care about the condition of every plant we ship. If there is a serious issue with your order upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photographs of:

  • The plant in its original packaging

  • The shipping label

  • The full plant and any visible damage

  • The outside of the package if the box was damaged

Issues reported after 24 hours may not be eligible for review.

Any refund, partial refund, replacement, or credit is handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Traphouse Nursery. Exact replacements are not guaranteed, especially for rare, collector-grade, or one-of-a-kind plants.

Not Covered

Traphouse Nursery is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Carrier delays

  • Rough handling by the carrier

  • Extreme heat, cold, frost, or storms

  • Packages left outside after delivery

  • Delayed package retrieval

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses

  • Packages marked as delivered by the carrier

  • Normal shipping stress

  • Minor cosmetic damage

  • Buyer neglect after delivery

Weather Conditions

Buyer is responsible for monitoring weather conditions at the shipping destination before placing an order.

If weather conditions are unsafe, Traphouse Nursery may delay shipment at its discretion to help protect the plant.

Shipping Delays

Once a package has been accepted by the carrier, shipping times are outside of our direct control. Traphouse Nursery is not responsible for carrier delays, weather-related delays, delivery mistakes by the carrier, lost packages marked as delivered, or other transit issues caused by the shipping service.

Incorrect Addresses

Buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Traphouse Nursery is not responsible for packages shipped to an incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address provided by the buyer.

Buyer Agreement

By purchasing from Traphouse Nursery, buyer confirms that they are legally permitted to receive the plant at the shipping address provided and agrees not to use any plant material in a manner prohibited by law.

By placing an order, buyer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this shipping policy.
