Return & Store Policies – Traphouse Nursery

Due to the live, perishable, and often rare nature of our plants, Traphouse Nursery does not accept returns.

Many of the plants we sell are limited, collector-grade, or one-of-a-kind specimens. Because live plants can decline from shipping stress, weather exposure, improper care, delayed package retrieval, or changes in growing conditions after delivery, we cannot accept returned plants.

All sales are considered final once the plant has been shipped.

Order Issues

Although we do not accept returns, we care about the condition of every plant we send. If there is a serious issue with your order upon arrival, buyer must contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of:

The plant in its original packaging
The shipping label
The full plant and any visible damage
The outside of the package if the box was damaged

Issues reported after 24 hours may not be eligible for review.

Any refund, partial refund, replacement, or credit is handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Traphouse Nursery. Exact replacements are not guaranteed, especially for rare, collector-grade, or one-of-a-kind plants.

Returns Not Accepted For

Returns, refunds, or replacements will not be accepted for:

Buyer’s remorse
Change of mind
Minor cosmetic imperfections

Damage caused by extreme heat, cold, frost, or storms

Plant Photos & Representation

Photos show the actual plant being offered unless otherwise stated in the listing.

In some cases, photos may show a representative plant from the same batch, mother plant, or cultivar. Live plants naturally vary in size, color, leaf shape, variegation, root development, growth habit, and seasonal appearance.

For rare, collector-grade, or one-of-a-kind plants, buyer should review all photos carefully before purchasing.

Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted before the order has been packaged, labeled, or shipped.

Once an order has been packed, labeled, shipped, or turned over to the carrier, cancellation may no longer be available.

Traphouse Nursery reserves the right to cancel and refund any order if the shipping destination is restricted, if required agricultural documentation is unavailable, if weather conditions make shipment unsafe, if the plant is no longer fit to ship, or if fulfilling the order would violate any applicable law or regulation.

Substitutions

Traphouse Nursery does not substitute plants without buyer approval.

If a plant becomes unavailable, damaged, or unfit to ship before shipment, the buyer will be contacted when possible. If no suitable arrangement can be made, the order may be canceled and refunded.

Care Disclaimer

Buyer is responsible for researching and providing proper care after delivery.

Plant health after arrival depends on the buyer’s growing conditions, including light, water, humidity, temperature, soil or growing media, acclimation, and handling.

Traphouse Nursery is not responsible for decline caused by improper care, unsuitable growing conditions, transplant shock, overwatering, underwatering, sunburn, cold damage, heat stress, or failure to properly acclimate the plant after delivery.

Buyer Responsibility

Buyer is responsible for reading the full product description, reviewing all photos, confirming the plant is legal to receive in their state or locality, and providing a safe and accurate shipping address.

By purchasing from Traphouse Nursery, buyer acknowledges that live plants are perishable agricultural products and agrees to the terms of this policy.
